Mondi Launches 35 Percent PCR Flow Wrap for Wet Wipes

Perforating and rewinding line for wet wipes packaging related materials

What happened

Mondi said on June 2, 2026 that it launched re/loop FlowWrap for wet wipes packaging. The company positioned the product as a more sustainable polymer-based replacement for non-recyclable laminates.

Material details

Mondi said the new form-fill-and-seal structure is made from mono-polypropylene and contains 35 percent post-consumer recycled content. The company said internal testing, customer trials, and external ILAPACK trials showed comparable sealing, barrier performance, and high-speed runnability on existing lines.

Why it matters

Wet wipes remain a demanding packaging segment because of seal integrity, barrier needs, and line speed. A recyclable mono-material structure with recycled content is directly relevant for converters facing PPWR-related design pressure in Europe and similar buyer demands elsewhere.
