What happened
UFlex introduced its F-HSS film at PlastIndia 2026, according to a February 9, 2026 company press note. The company said the transparent biaxially oriented polyester film is designed to support mono-material PET packaging structures.
Film specification
UFlex said F-HSS uses a co-extruded PET structure with a copolymer-based sealant layer and delivers seal strength above 1.5 kg per inch. The company said the film is aimed at lidding for APET, RPET, and CPET trays, robust food pouches, and mono-material PET packs for dry snacks.
Why it matters
Mono-material packaging development is not limited to PE and PP. UFlex is pushing PET-based alternatives that may fit applications where clarity, seal strength, and machinability are critical for converters and brand owners.
